Government

The governmental system in Serenity is Democratic Republic. The government is made up of 2 entities, the High Council and the Supreme Chancellor. The High Council is made up of 12 elected officials. The members of the High Council are elected directly by the people of Serenity and they serve life terms. A High Council member can be impeached from the position if the citizens deem he or she to be incompetent or not chill, but the final decision for the impeachment of a council member is made by the Supreme Chancellor. The High Council is charged with representing the people, and being the voice of the people. The members of the High Council are the most chill and respected people of Serenity, they know what it takes to chill mad hard better than most.

The Supreme Chancellor is the most powerful position in Serenity. The Supreme Chancellor is the ultimate ruler, and everybody has to listen to him. The Supreme Chancellor has the most difficult position in Serenity, he has so much power and control over the nation that it is very easy for him to become a totalitarian dictator. This does not happen though, or it hasn’t yet. The Supreme Chancellor is always the absolute most chill person in the nation, he chills mad hard, and is normally to chill to want to have to be a dictator because that would be way to much work and stress. The Supreme Chancellor is elected by the High Council, and serves a life term with no exceptions. The only way for a Supreme Chancellor to become undone is for him to die, or leave his position when he is mad old and senile. The current Supreme Chancellor is Tommy Chong, he is also one of the founding member of Serenity.

The way the government makes decisions is that they don’t, the Supreme Chancellor does, he decides what he wants. But he normally likes to listen to the high council because they speak for the people, and the people are all pretty chill, and the Supreme Chancellor respects that. Currently the Supreme Chancellor has the High Council vote on things, and then he makes a decision from that. The High Council is also the working court system for Serenity, and they decide punishments, at the approval of the Supreme Chancellor of course. So basically the Supreme Chancellor runs Serenity and has help if he wants it.
